Lobbyists, lawmakers pack Ga. Capitol for legislative session
Lobbyists and residents gathered at the Georgia Capitol as lawmakers returned for the second year of the biennial session. Organizations like the ACLU encouraged residents to ‘Pack the Capitol’ to directly engage with legislators. Bills that were dormant since the previous session are now immediately eligible for consideration. This marks the official start of substantive legislative work for the year.
